Omega is winning more tenders with Foxit’s full annotation and tracking functionality.
About Omega
Omega is a Norwegian project management company. Their main solution, Pims, is a system of integrated programs that control the information and documentation in all phases of a project. Omega has been serving clients mainly in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years. They have a global presence serving 400 clients and 150 developers. Omega is a large company that employs well over 1,000 people.
Challenges and Objectives
Omega’s project documentation management application, “Pims Document Control”, enables their customers to handle project documents and ensure efficient review workflows. Before working with Foxit, Omega used basic software which lacked the essential markup features their solution demanded. Omega’s main objectives were to have full annotation and tracking capabilities on documents, as well as control over the comments their customers send to contractors and vice versa.
Why Foxit?
The main reason that Omega chose Foxit was due to the superior viewing, markup and annotation capabilities versus what our competitors offer. Beyond this, having a development team working proactively with them on the PoC and implementation was a major driver for their decision to work with us. Whenever there were issues, our team ensured they dealt with them so that the project ran on schedule.
“Foxit has provided us with an excellent real time collaboration tool that is user friendly and seamless to integrate. From a developer point of view, the support is top quality and from real developers. Foxit’s powerful annotation functionality has enabled us to gain a competitive edge in tenders and ultimately win more business.”
– Johnny Vik, Pims Software Department Manager, Omega
Results
As a result of choosing our PDF SDK, Omega achieved full annotation and tracking functionality in their software, all available online. This has led to more tender wins due to the added functionality that Foxit’s SDK provides. The success from our PDF SDK for Web product also led to Omega opting for our PDF SDK for Windows, which they use for some of their document workflows.
